What you think is what you become. This is more so, while doing Pranayama.
It is a well established fact that disease is directly related to the mind. A person with positive thinking will have greater strength to fight diseases than a person with a negative mindset.
Benefits of Pranayama can be doubled by adopting positive thinking. Pranayama and thinking patterns of a person are related in two ways.
- Pranayama will yield more benefits, if it is done with a positive & calm mind.
- Pranayama helps you to adopt a positive thinking, if practiced for a period of time.
Thus Pranayama technique is very beneficial in chronic (long-term) diseases. Though there might be ‘pain’, there will be lesser ‘suffering’. Yes Pranayama reduces suffering.
