Punarnava being anti-inflammatory and diuretic relieves the dyspnoea and chest discomfort associated with excess water retention, congestion in circulation in chronic heart failure. It is aphrodisiac, prevents ageing and used to enhance immunity to fight against various diseases. It is also beneficial in blood pressure and helps in lowering cholesterol levels.
The various aldehyde molecules in Cinnamon help in aiding digestion. it helps lower cholesterol and improve blood circulation. Ela is a diuretic , it is a stress relieving and cardiac stimulant. Nagkesar is known for its astringent and anti-inflammatory property , it relieves swelling and edema. Arjuna is n excellent cardio tonic herb , Arjuna bark is rich in minerals like magnesium, zinc, calcium, copper. It strengthens cardiac muscle and normalizes heartbeat (tachycardia).
Madhav-arishta is Sandhana Kaplana and self generated alcohol in it enhances absorption and assimilation of medicinal active ingredients. Arjuna with Kashaya Rasa, Laghu- Ruksha Attributes, Shita Virya and Katu Vipaka has Kapha- Pitta Shamaka property. With its Dhatugamitwa to Meda, Rakta, Asthi, and Shukra, it improves tone and health of blood vessels, dries up Kleda and Meda and helps breaking Samprapti of Hridroga.
Arjuna has Hridya Prabhava. Dalchini is Ushna, Katu- Tikta- Laghu. It is Hrid- Basti Shodhana. Clears cleda from Cardiovascular and Urinary system. Bibhitak is Ushna Virya, Kaphanashak and Kasa- Shwasa Nashaka. Draksha is Vatanulomana, Brihana and Pitta Shamaka. Ela is Katu- Tikta, Laghu- Ruksha. Ela is Kaphachedana, useful in Kasa, Shwasa, Mutrakrichhra and Arsha. Nagakesara is Tikta- Kashaya, Laghu- Ruksha, Amapachana, Raktaprasadana and indicated in Hridvyatha.
