I would like to add something which I have experienced. Sometimes, if I have woken up in the morning with a headache (not a very severe one or a migraine), I go out for a 15 minute walk. When I come back, I find that my headache has disappeared. Even my son, who is a tennis player once told me that he got cured of a mild headache when he went and played for 15 minutes. Somehow, the exercise in the fresh air seems to act like a medicine.

Avoiding constipation also helps me to fight my migraine.

20 things that you should avoid is very useful article. Author covered many things from Food to computer usage. I really want to thank for writting this article.
Although, I feel headache if it is recurrenting then among the many reason one reason is Tension and Stress. If you can curve tension and stress then you can win over the headache.I do yoga and meditation daily. Try to do twice in a day though ended up once in a day. Morning is the best time for yoga and meditation. Yoga sgould be done in good aerated place. While doing meditation light one or two sandal cycle agarbathi or any other, it will help you to concentrate well. Do this and let me know if this helpful. If you don’t know how to do meditation then check youtube tutorials or join some meditation club.

Good points. I think the Agarbatti, if at all one opts to use, should be very mild and of very good quality. Or else, the incense stick smell itself can trigger a headache attack!

More than 15 years back, I had stopped drinking alcohol, tobacco consumption and eating non-vegetarian food. It has been more than 30 years now that I remember drinking tea or coffee. My breakfast consists of sweet fruits and I eat two meals. I avoid taking milk products, aerated cold drinks, soy products, sweets, oily, spicy and junk food, super fine flour (maida), refined oil, saturated vegetable oil and sugar. To replace sugar, I take jaggery and honey. I never allow my stomach to suffer from constipation and get regular bowel movements and this keeps me healthy and never got headache in 15 years or so.

The headache is mainly due to deposit of mucus in the head that causes great discomfort. To get rid of headache without taking pills, you should tickle the inside of your nostrils with the help of a toothpick and sneeze for atleast 20 times to remove the mucus from nose. After the mucus is released from the head through nostrils, you get complete relief from headache. Secondly, steam inhalation is also beneficial to combat headache. Take Triphala powder/tablets/capsules to treat your constipation to get regular bowel movements. Best of health!
